An employee at Western Union refused to process my money order because one of the bills "looked too old". She told me to go to the bank to get a new bill. So, I went to another WU branch and they gave me a money order using the same bill that had been refused earlier.
In addition, she also refused to tell me why she wouldn't take the bill. I had to ask her repeatedly. She told me abruptly: 'You Know'. She finally relented because I wouldn't leave until she gave me some vacuous reason.
Are they allowed to refuse to accept bills that they deem too old?
