I have been sending money to my son in Costa Rica for the last 4 years. All of a sudden, Western Union decides to change their policy that only money withdrawn from personal account will be accepted.

I only found out about their change of policy after submitting 3 times the same transfer. After each transfer and after not receiving confirmation for 2 days, I called them and all they said was to resubmit transfer again, that they did not know why it happened. Then after the 3rd transfer I decided to talk to a supervisor, given that the customer support agent was useful. Well, the supervisor was also useless.

They were not able to tell me why. I have stopped using their service and started to use Xoom, great service and very prompt.
