I sent money from the usa to my brother in Yemen, i lost the ctn number, i called customers service to get the number and i gave them all my information, they declined to give me the number because i am not calling from the number they had in record!!! I changed my number a yeaar ago.

a company that large should have a more sophisticaed security measures. I offered to give them my social security number, my id number, my addres, everything, but they still rejected.

that was so *** and i am never ever doing business with them again. GO MONEY GRAMMMMMMM...

I agree with MauiAl49.

If WU refused to give you the ctn, which is the only thing about a WU transaction that cannot be faked, I applaud them.

While I dislike WU intensely, don't blame them for your lack of diligence.

By the way, Yemen is one of the countries where a lot of the WU scammers reside.

Perhaps you should have updated your info with Western Union when you changed your number. You actually offered to give your SSN to someone over the phone? Talk about unsophisticated about security.
