I have a very very bad experience with Western Union. I sent money online.
I paid for the direct transfer. They took the money from my bank. I got an e-mail that they froze the money I sent as I need to provide a bank statement. First they took my money then they need a bank statement?
I called customer service, got transferred from one person to another. Waited. I was on the phone for more than an hour. Finally, they cancelled my transaction.
I received an e-mail confirmation that my transaction was cancelled and will be refunded within 5-7 days. After 7 days, no money!!! I called Western Union. They could not "find" my money.
What? Amazing, isn't it? They did this and been doing this to a lot of people. For 5-7 days, the money is with them.
What is going on? Is there a way to sue them? Are there other people here who were "scammed" as well? Can we find a lawyer?
The money I sent was not too much but it is still MY HARD EARNED MONEY.
If they have been doing this for a very long time, then how much did they already make from other people's money? I am just wondering.
