After roughly an hour of waiting, my remittance request was rejected, no reasons provided by the customer service person I was talking to. This after telling her that this is my 3rd time using the Western Union.

Besides, I was bothered by the very intrusive questions on why I was sending money to a friend in Italy. All this for a princely sum of $250.00!! Never again and fired them as my service provider also. I decided to use Moneygram instead with its slightly a lower fee.

Western Union's business model of high fees and poor customer service is a recipe for customer grief. Do yourself a favor and use someone else instead.
