I initiated a send money transaction from USA to Philippines. I had done this several times over the years with no problem.
This month (October 2014) I initiated a transaction, received the transaction code and I expected the transfer took place. 15 minutes later I received a call from a WU compliance person (this had never happened in past). They asked questions which I answered. 10 minutes later I received a WU email saying transaction was denied.
I called my bank and they said they approved the payment. I then called WU and was switched from customer service to compliance to WU web group and I could get no explanation. I then went through send money process again and got the same result.
I then cancelled my WU account and will NEVER use them again. I have found a good reliable alternative that works flawlessly.
