Was given a money order check when picking up my transfer, was unable to cash it anywhere tried every agent in my area and banks. When i tried calling custmer service they would transfer me 5x then end up hanging up on me when on hold. Ive called 8 times and this has happened every time. So i am out 100.00 since the piece of paper they gave me is useless! I will NEVER use or recommend western union again.

I. Was refused by tullamore post office offaly to send money to London 200.€ on approx date Sat 9th march 2014.i was using ur service on a regular basis without any problem the money was to be transferred to London and I was given the receipt when receipt was presented in London my daughter was refused my money . I have been using online money transfers from last six years, i never ever had a terrible experience what i just had with western union. They have worst online transfer system and very poor customer service. I have initiated a transfer to indian bank account on 23rd and the funds have not been delivered to receiver's account. I have rung customer care service to enquire about the transaction they said, they want 48 hours to contact the receivers bank. After 48 hours, i rang again, they want more 48 hours... i don't know when i am going to get hold on my money. So, i suggest the readers never proceed with western union and don't let them play with your money

I had sent a western union from tops on niagara fall blv.in nf.ny.the recipiant could not pick up money with in the 90 day requirement,so i got a letter from western union it had a 800 number,i called it they told me to go to a wester union and have attendant ,in this case her name was nicole.nicole was extremly rude and told me while i was on speaker phone with western union employee on my cell,she say we dont and wont call western union to get me my refund ,buf they had no problem taken my money to send it! I asked to speak with manager,the whole time im on speaker with western union,the nice woman from w.u.say she could not believe how rude this tops lady was,and nicole tops emplpyee heard her say this so when she called manager she relayed what she say,so when mansger came to me,her name iswendy figerelli she grabbed my cell and say to western union woman ,we dont take calls we dont make calls and nrver will,and refused to speak with her or call 800 number on official western union letter,i never in my lfe been treated so poorly by a manager in my life! And for that matter they are represntitves of western union ,tops has lost my business for life and it wont stop here i will be persueing this matter further who does that woman think she is talking to paying costomets in that fascion

My wife transfer some funds but during the final receipt process, the WU terminal locked up, as a result my middle name was erroneously omitted. I am on a business trip at overseas and needed the funds urgently. I made a call to WU customer care, first they asked for me to email them a copy of my driver license then they said they would need to contact the sending agent for a written explanation but nothing happened. Finally my wife went to the same WU location where she had sent the funds, the WU terminal was locked up due to security updates. My wife then went to another WU location which tried to call WU customer care but was told to send my wife back to the WU location where she had sent the money. My wife went back and the store manager called WU and after arguing back and forth for another two hours and after providing the sender and receiver's driver license numbers, social security card numbers, finally the funds were returned. What a nightmare to deal with WU customer representatives.

Stole my money!!! I am the sender and they wont give me my money back!!! A friend desperatly needed it and i told western union i need to send the money another way cuz my friend desperatly needs it ....now they are sayibg its locked in their treasury for the next 5 years!!!! I am appalled! They asked questions like how are you related to this person, and why are you sending this money - only $40. When I refused to answer the questions they refused the transfer! They state that the government allows them to ask these questions. I verified my name, my credit card, the name of the recipient and how much I was sending, then they got into all of the personal questions that are none of their business. This is an invasion of one's privacy! Someone needs to get this on 60 Minutes or another national news show ASAP!

Ripped off by a scam through western union

after being screwed by mongrels with 2 puppies on line uship pettransport through western union after trying to get a result on a refund i hit a brick wall(i am sorry sir) but we will look into it and to be quiet honest nothing will happen and the scams will go on i will never use western union to buy in the usa and i will tell my friends about the treatment received by western union it is like kissing a brick wall the scammers get away and the people who trust the company suffer with the consequences and no refund [serves you right] well people are getting fed up and and trying to trust western union is hopefully hopefully they may try harder to help and realize people who lose money to scammers may not be wealthy .time to pick up your game

How is this Western Union's fault? They completed the transaction you asked them to complete.

They don't know you are sending money to someone who ultimately scammed you.

Take responsibility for your mistake. Put on your big boy/girl pants and YOU file charges!!

Western Union - WU Pay cancel my MTCN and failed to return my $650.00 within the 3 to 4 business days.

I send money by using my Bank Bill Pay Service to WU Pay and apparently the funds got transferred to my WU Pay account without the MTCN (a Money Tracking Number given by WU). After 4 days I contacted WU to find out why the money is not available for pickup by the receiver.

They told me it was in process and later sent a generic email stating they are still waiting for the Bank to complete the transaction instead of saying the MTCN missing. I called the Bank they said it was transferred. Why WU did not reject or bounce the transaction if it was not properly package and sent electronically by Bank? But instead they keep my money and the Bank said they cannot retrieve the money back.

And what really *** me off is that I have no means of contacting WU Pay department directly by phone. Their email support service is by no means to understand my concerns. All their phone numbers provided to me are routed to some off-shore call centers which are useless, it's like talking to a brick wall. I was on the phone a few different times with their off-shore call center supervisor where I spent an average of one and a half hour trying to get to WU Pay with no such luck.

Not even their own call center employees can get to them. Those WU Pay AH lock themselves into a "steal vault" so you the consumer cannot get to them. WU operates like a terrorist on US soil with very poor customer services to terrorize you while they have your money. I would like to know how our Government allow these bastards to handle people money with such *** procedures.

WU, if you are reading this, it's 22 day now and I still haven't got my money.

WU did not give all the money to receiver!

I've sent the money from Cda to Europe, the receiver did not receive all the money, I have proof from an agent with mtcn #, and WU Canada plays now for 2 months going back & forth with me saying: "sorry we'll check & will get back to you" every time I contact them via email is a different person; it goes nowhere. Agent that I've sent the money from said it should have never happen so we've sent an email to a customer care: Problem is every time I'm going somewhere with a supervisor, (or they say they are) supervisor tells me I will get a refund, suddenly a new incident # is created and the new person asks for all details again and nothing happens, just playing games.. This is unbelievable. Don't use WU!!!!! Does anyone know how to file an official complain in Canada? They can't just get any with this!

WU cancelled my money transfer 3 times in a row in a period of 2 weeks! I called their hotline 3 times and their representatives were unable to give me the reason for the cancellation every time. All they could come up was 'your transaction did not meet WU's standard'. Unbelievable BS right? They sent me an email asking for my personal information like company registration, tax return form, all those sensitive personal information having to do with money and property so that WU could 'review' me and remove me from their some kind of 'black list' which I didn't know how I got listed in the first place! Is WU a new form of phishing scam? And get this, they could not guarantee anything similar would not happen in the future. How ridiculous could this company be?

Their approval process is handled by an automated system which is operated by a third party vendor. Can you imagine this company is asking someone else to be in charge of its security/approval/whatever? Could the NSA or the FBI or the CIA be this third party secretly spying on us?

Had the exact same issue 3 times with their phone app, and the same frustrating experience of having them not be able to explain why a transaction was cancelled because "if the customer knew how to successfully process the transactions it would defeat their security protocols". This company is insane.

At agent location, they refuse my transaction, agent called and they talk to me about my fiancée from the Philippines. Ask me a lot of personal questions, explain she has been my gf for 5 years, fiancée for 1 1/2, I have visited 3 times, just the month before this, They cancel my transaction and recommend I file fraud charges, against my fiancée????? Now I try to send her monthly allowance online, as I have for long time (at least 40 times) put my transaction on hold, said to call. I do, said my account is suspended. Ask why, business decision. ask again why, business decision. Got call back, they transfer me to fraud or security. Tell me business decision is to cancel my account, ask why, said cannot give me any more information, I said it affects me so why cant you tell me why, sorry sir, I cannot give u any information. This is a bull *** company, I suggest not doing business with them.
