This is the letter I am sending to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. I sent some money to my relatives in the Dominican Republic using Western Union service in 2015. Western Union in few occasions told me that they were not able to send any money (from me) to Dominican Republic using their services. They wont accept a legal passport as it they dont like how the name is writon on the passport. Tunisian passports have surname first and given name second. So they tell me to change the name on the passport. How ridulous is that?

Wow no words to describe. I have used western union for quite a while and it wads satisfactory. In May 2016(yes that many months and NO resolution) I made a money transfer to my son's girlfriend in her name. She called to say she had lost her ID and needed me to send to her friend. I called western union to change name. FYI you cant do that even though its YOUR money!!! So I cancelled the transaction. I gave western union the transaction... Read more

On 7/21, I made an online transaction from Texas to Florida using jy checking account. On 7/28, i called Western Union to cancel this transaction. It is my understanding it takes 7 husiness days for refund. I have been in dialogue with the company since 8/8, speaking to their corporate office and its one excuse after the next. Several weeks ago I sent it Western Union $70 to my girlfriend in the Philippines I made a mistake by putting her name backwards and then I made another mistake on the second time not spelling it correctly and both times that she went there with her ID they denied her the money the third time I called Western Union seven weeks ago for the same transaction they told me it was good to give me a refund to the Western Union agent at the Marshalls... On 07/31/2016 I have been wrongly billed twice in my credit union checking account The glitch billed me with a debit card which I used to use Western Union . The amount billed was $54.99 and also for $434.00 . I have called them every day since 8/01/2016 . spoke with Felix who transferred me to a different department ( 800) 525-3403 and spoke w/ Brian .
